Amy Carmichael had each of the women she discipled memorize this. This was their war cry against the enemy. This was their heart’s desire.
As I’m here loving on my parents as best as I can and serving the Lord to the best of my ability, I still find it’s so hard to do so with a joyful heart. I still find that I have to fight my flesh’s longings in order to do the Lord’s will. I am constantly having to lay aside all that I am to find all that He is.
I pray that Amy’s little mantra becomes my heart’s desire as well.
